DRAWING

     I’ve done a lot of charcoal still life drawings, both for class and for personal enjoyment. The understanding of form, value, atmosphere, perspective, composition, etc., directly helps my architectural rendering ability. The knowledge of the human scale, how forms behave in space, having all that in the back of my mind, is a permanent benefit, and the specific use of a medium or style is also a tool that can be implemented as needed.

     I think it’s worth pursuing interlinked disciplines to gain both a broader and deeper understanding of not only the new pursuit but the others as well.
